ndmdigital universe is a global gathering of cutting edge and diverse underground art, music, culture, faith, life and love. Specializing in multi media ranging from dj services, record label, music production, content licensing, dj workshops for youth and comic book publishing curated by electronic music artist , Joseph "DJ Dimension Mercado.
During the summer of 2003 the bright light of this rising Electronic Music star was dimmed when he suffered a near death experience that changed the course of his life. After his injury, Joseph relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where he started working with at-risk teenagers. Relighting the fire, sparking the fuel to creatively mesh his life experiences into inspiration by encouraging others to find their own inner superhero through music, art, music, connection and collaboration taking the first step into the vision with the power of meditation, prayer and visualization he began to develop on this creative concept that he would use to share his triumphant story and spread hope with the world.
ndmdigital evolution
Born in the Bronx NYC, Joseph “DJ Dimension” Mercado emerged from urban decay with roots deeply embedded in the rich tapestry of early hip-hop and electronic music profoundly shaping his artistic journey. His childhood was filled with the vibrant sounds and the energy of B-Boy street culture, where he first encountered the rhythms and creativity of being a DJ.
As a young boy, his family moved from The Bronx to Spanish Harlem where he would watch and listen from the 11th floor window of the towering project apartment building, soon becoming captivated by the sounds of turntables spinning at block parties at the school yard park right across the street where DJ’s would plug into the street light for power and people from all over NYC would come together simply because of the music.
Amidst the struggle and poverty surrounding him, Joseph always found solace in music and when he was 17 ventured off into the 80's underground electronic music scene experiencing infamous nightclubs like The Tunnel , Sound Factory, Save the Robots, The World and Lime Light .
This new found electronic music sound injected into his bloodstream. Soon this “Club Kid” began to collect vinyl and began honing his skills as a DJ and with every mix, creating a unique soundtrack that has become the mixtape of his life.
1992 - 2003 Birth of Ghetto Soul
DJ Dimension and Big Will Rosario joined forces to create MegaMen NYC, a dynamic collaboration that quickly became known for its distinctive underground sound emerging from the heart of New York City. Their DJ style is a rich tapestry of raw electronic beats, seamlessly blending various influences to craft a unique dance floor experience with works released throughout 3 decades on record labels Strictly Rhythm, King Street Sounds, K -Tel Records, Nervous Records, Made In Miami as well as their own respective imprints Sweatin Records and next dimension music.
In 2001, they launched the Ghetto Soul Sessions, using an innovative concept at the time called "Live Streaming", this was revolutionary and on the cutting edge as MegaMen NYC performed DJ sets in sync on 4 turntables in collaboration with DownShift Radio utilizing the world wide web to digitally deliver electrifying performances directly to audiences around the globe. The Ghetto Soul Sessions showcased MegaMen NYC ability to fuse genres and raw energy of NYC's Electronic Music scene, cultivating a global community of electronic music fans who treasure the eclectic underground sound.
MegaMen NYC live stream exposure led to a distribution deal for record label imprint MegaMen Sounds making their music available on vinyl and CD in major retail outlets like Virgin MegaStore, HMV, Tower Records, CoCoconuts, Specs Music and highlighted at Winter Music Conference, South Beach Miami with interview on MTV2 and live DJ performance on Telemundo TV Show “The Roof”. This transition from underground artists to recognized names in the music industry reflects their passion for creativity. MegaMen NYC have continued to reunite throughout the years with 20th anniversary performances and most recently star in their own comic book series where they find themselves in a battle versus The Beast from the EDM Void to save the Club Kids and restore Ghetto Soul, this milestone achievement was celebrated with a live performance at Phoenix Fan Fusion, Anime Rave in Phoenix Arizona.

2005 : Enter next dimension music
As the music industry continues to evolve, vinyl and CDs have made a notable resurgence, reflecting a shift in listening preferences. Joseph "DJ Dimension" Mercado embarks on an innovative journey by launching his own independent record label, Next Dimension Music. This label not only marks a personal milestone for Mercado but also represents a broader trend of independent labels finding their niche in the digital age.
next dimension music bridges the gap between traditional music distribution methods and the rapidly changing landscape by recognizing the importance of reaching electronic music fans where they are, standing out as one of the first independent labels to directly service major online music retailers like Beatport, Stompy, and Traxsource. By doing so, next dimension music created a platform for emerging producers to showcase their work and gain exposure in this new platform for music. In addition to releasing music digitally, the label licensed tracks for various prominent CD compilations. on well-respected labels such as Nervous Records, Jockey Club Ibiza, Armada Music, Groove On, Wax n’ Soul and Big City Beats.
Next Dimension Music ultimately has created a diverse catalog of over 1000 original music productions by artist worldwide reflecting the richness of the underground electronic music scene, combining fresh sounds with innovative production techniques. In 2015, Next Dimension Music celebrated its 10th anniversary at the Winter Music Conference 30 in South Beach, Miami. The event featured a reunion of DJ Big Will Rosario and Joseph “DJ Dimension” Mercado, along with a lineup of legendary DJs from the Hip Hop and Electronic music scenes. They teamed up with top producers from the label, and the showcase was live-streamed with support from NYC House Music Radio. This time period emphasized a significant shift in the music industry, as streaming platforms started to rise, creating new challenges for independent artists. Once again, Mercado embraced this change and looked toward the future.
2015 : enter ndmdigital
Joseph “DJ Dimension” Mercado makes waves in Phoenix, Arizona, as he continues to push his vision forward. Blasting off monthly event "Cosmic" bringing together electronic music legends and amazing local DJs for unforgettable performances on the same stage. Notable credits include DJ performances on 92.7 FM The Pulse's Saturday Night Dance Party Mix , The Bungalow Show- Electronic Music Spotlight on Radio Phoenix, and a docuseries that focused attention on innovative artists in the vibrant Phoenix scene produced by Sonoron Sol Films. This period also saw the limited edition vinyl reissue of Micro-Teoh House Music classic Alter Egoz EP produced by DJ Dimension on KMA60 Rezpektiv, Germany originally released on MegaMen Sounds in 2003.
During the pandemic, many people felt as if time had come to a grinding halt. Businesses shut down, social gatherings were canceled, and daily routines were disrupted.
